Police say a fire at a derelict Kirkcaldy community centre is thought to have been started deliberately.
Fire crews spent more than two hours tackling the blaze at the former Dunnikier OAP Centre on Lauder Road.
They responded just before 7pm on Wednesday following several emergency calls.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service says the building was “well alight” when crews arrived.
She said: “We received multiple calls from the public reporting there was an ongoing fire at a derelict community centre at Lauder Road in Kirkcaldy.
“The calls came in at around 6.45pm. When our appliances arrived the building was well alight.
“We sent two appliances to the scene. They remained there until 9.26pm.
“There were no casualties.”
A video shared on social media showed thick smoke billowing from the area and across Kirkcaldy.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman says crews were initially called to assist with traffic management.
She added:Â “The fire is being treated as wilful and inquiries are ongoing.”
The incident came amid a busy period for Fife crews.
Last week they were called to a derelict garage fire in Cardenden while a home was damaged after a blaze in Kennoway.
