A woman who died in a road crash in Fife has been named as Sharon Smith, from Glasgow.
The 29-year-old was involved in an accident on the A985 near High Valleyfield at 2.30am on Sunday.
Police Scotland said Miss Smith had been driving a blue Skoda Fabia and no other vehicles were involved.
She was alone in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A statement issued by police stated: “Miss Smith’s family has respectfully requested privacy at this time.”
Sergeant James Henry of Fife Division’s road policing unit said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family at this time.
“We are investigating this collision and I would ask anyone who was on the A985 in the early hours of Sunday December 18 and has any information to please get in touch with us immediately.”
