A man will appear in court charged with murder on Wednesday following the death of a man in a Kirkcaldy flat.
Emergency services descended on the Victoria Road property in the early hours of Monday morning after being alerted to the incident.
A second man was taken to hospital for treatment on “non-life-threatening” injuries.
Police arrested and charged a 51-year-old man in connection with the death on Monday evening.
He is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Detective Chief Inspector Keith Hardie of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team said: “As part of our enquiries we continue to ask anyone who has information which may be relevant to come forward.”
Victoria Road, one of the busiest thoroughfares in Kirkcaldy, was closed off between Bennochy Road and Townsend Crescent after police were called to the flat shortly after 5am.
