A St Andrews restaurant has closed its doors ahead of a rebranding exercise.
The town’s outlet of Tony Macaroni closed at the beginning of the month without any prior notice.
However, lovers of Italian food have nothing to fear, with the company announcing that a new spin-off restaurant will open at the Bell Street site instead.
“Mozza” will be only the second restaurant opened under the new brand, specialising in serving Neapolitan pizzas.
Stephanie Yapp from the firm said: “We think the market in St Andrews would appreciate something a bit different.
“Our plan is to re-open within about three months, following our first Mozza opening in Glasgow this month.
“We are very excited to be opening in St Andrews.”
