Police are renewing an appeal for information in tracing the man who drove a dumper truck through a Kirkcaldy shop front.
The vehicle was driven through the front of the Co-op store on Lauder Road in the early hours of Monday December 12.
The dumper truck, a six tonne Benford Swivel Dumper, had earlier been stolen from a business premises in the nearby Hayfield Industrial Estate.
One eyewitness claimed to have seen a masked man in his twenties fleeing the scene in the aftermath of the incident, having watched him drive the dump truck into the shop several times.
Police have described him as wearing all dark clothing and a dark helmet that had a chrome outline and a clear visor.
Detective Inspector Graeme Dursley of Kirkcaldy CID said: “We’ve conducted extensive enquiries in the local area including reviewing CCTV, making door-to-door enquiries and forensic investigations at the scene.
“At this time we’re treating the incident as a break-in though, fortunately, nothing was stolen from within the premises.
“Anyone who witnessed the truck travelling between the industrial estate and Lauder Road, who may have seen the suspect fleeing the scene, or who has information which can help is urged to get in touch.”
