Brazen thieves have stolen 60 metres of road safety barriers in Fife.
Police are looking for two men seen loading the red Fife Council barriers into the back of a van near Thornton on Tuesday.
They were taken from the B9130 between Thornton and Redhouse roundabout, near the greyhound track.
It is understood they were being used to protect the public from road maintenance work being carried out in the area.
Police said a white van had been spotted in the area and two men were observed loading the barriers into it.
Community Sergeant Paul Thomson said: “This is a busy road and the theft occurred at a busy time of day.
“If there was anyone travelling on this road around 6pm on January 10 who witnessed anything suspicious, please phone 101 or email the local community team on GlenrothesCentralThorntonCPT@scotland.pnn.police.uk.
