Two men have appeared in court following raids on three Fife post offices earlier this week.
Alexander McLeish, 28, and Thomas McGarva, 38, both made no plea or declaration when they appeared on petition at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Friday afternoon.
Outlets in Cowdenbeath, Burntisland and Kincardine were all struck on Monday, while a further branch in Linlithgow was also targeted.
The multiple charges are also understood to relate to other robberies and attempted robberies at post office branches in Larkhall on 23 December, Glenboig on 6 January and Clarkston on 7 January.
McLeish, of Glasgow, was charged with one count of theft, one count of attempted robbery and two counts of assault and robbery.
McGarva, whose address was only given as East Kilbride, was charged with two counts of attempted robbery, three counts of assault and robbery, one count of assault and attempted robbery, and one further count of theft.
Both have been remanded in custody and are expected to return to court next week.
