A pilot has escaped uninjured after a small plane crash-landed in a field in Fife on Monday.
Two fire appliances were called to the scene near Kinglassie, as well as police and paramedics.
The light aircraft is thought to be a Zenair Zodiac.
The route the plane was taking when it came down is not clear, but a spokesperson for nearby Fife Airport confirmed the aircraft had not taken off from there.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received an alert to an aircraft having crashed close to Kinglassie.
“Two fire appliances from Glenrothes station were mobilised. Crews have now left the scene.”
Access to Kinglassie from B922 Cluny Road was blocked as the emergency response continued with bus services being diverted.
The plane has since been removed from the crash site.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a light aircraft crashing in a field near Kinglassie at around 10.55am on Monday.
“There have been no reported injuries.
“Emergency services were at the scene to clear the area.”
A spokesperson for Fife Airport said: “We are not involved and don’t know very much about it.
“We’ve heard about it but are not wanting to say very much.”
