Fife “Fife Cooncil, get the finger oot” — Anstruther “hole” moves resident to poetry By Aileen Robertson February 6 2017, 3:25pm February 6 2017, 3:25pm Share “Fife Cooncil, get the finger oot” — Anstruther “hole” moves resident to poetry Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/fife/364523/anstruther-hole-moves-resident-to-poetry/ Copy Link An ongoing row over a collapsed wall in Anstruther has moved one resident to poetry. Roy McIntosh, 66, has written a short verse about the crumbled structure in St Ayles Crescent and posted it online. It includes the message: “Fife Council get the finger out an fix the bloomin’ hole.” It is now eight years since the retaining wall collapsed. Work to fix the problem has been delayed because of legal wrangles over who is responsible. The damaged wall has been fenced off and St Ayles Crescent remains closed at one end. In the meantime, Fife Council has painted some interesting road markings to prevent people from parking at the scene. The council said the double yellow lines would be redrawn once the wall is mended.
