Fifers will now be able to shop at Waitrose after it joined the food hall at Dobbies Garden Centre in Dunfermline this week.
It’s the first store the supermarket chain has opened in the Kingdom.
The food hall inside the garden centre at Fife Retail Park will feature an “extensive selection” of products – including Waitrose’s essential range.
Dunfermline is one of more than 50 Dobbies’ foodhalls across the UK where Waitrose food and drinks are sold — bringing the supermarket brand to 20 new towns and cities.
Angela Beck, General Manager at Dobbies Dunfermline, said: “The food hall at our store is very popular and the team is really positive about Waitrose being part of the shopping experience for customers.”
The foodhall at the Fife Leisure Park location will now provide customers with Waitrose’s wide range of high-quality food, drink, grocery products, and everyday essentials.
Customers will find a large range of chilled, frozen and store cupboard essentials from Waitrose, as well as free-from and vegan ranges and an extensive range of wines and spirits.
Discussing what other well-loved products will feature in the food hall, Angela said: “Our popular local butcher, Puddledub, will continue to be part of offering, along with Hotel Chocolat, Whittards, the Cook range, as well as our fresh bakery to-go.”
The chance to win free shopping
Dobbies is offering five customers the chance to win their food hall shopping for free at the Dunfermline store.
Winners will be selected at random at the till until Thursday October 6, receiving the contents of their food hall shopping basket free.
