Three people have been hurt in a smash involving a bus and car in Kirkcaldy.
The Stagecoach bus and a Ford car collided in the town’s Hayfield Road just before 3pm on Friday.
Three passengers sustained minor injuries, with one taken to the nearby Victoria Hospital.
Children walking home from Pathhead Primary School saw the aftermath of the accident which occurred at the junction with East Burn Court.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
As well as police, two ambulances and three fire engines were at the scene.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said no one was trapped but firefighters made the vehicles safe.
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “One of our vehicles operating on service 39A was involved in a minor incident on Hayfield Road at around 3pm today.
“Three of our customers have suffered minor injuries, our driver was uninjured.
“Our thoughts are with those injured in this incident and we will assist the police in their enquiries.
“Safety is our primary concern and we are now investigating the full circumstances.”
Police Scotland said someone is to be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
