The parents of a baby who died aged just six weeks have paid tribute to their “little princess” ahead of her funeral on Thursday.
Baby Olivia Petrie died suddenly at home in Fife on Tuesday September 27, leaving mum Amy and dad Andrew devastated.
In a statement provided to The Courier, her parents described her as a much-loved daughter, precious granddaughter, great granddaughter, niece and cousin.
They said: “Olivia you are so loved and you will be sadly missed.
“Sleep tight our little princess pants olly boo.”
Olivia’s ‘last journey’ through Fife
Colin Sneddon Funeral Directors shared plans for service, which will involve a funeral cortege through Lumphinnans.
A series of road closures will be in place as Olivia’s funeral cortege departs from Cartmore Street in Lochgelly at around midday.
The cortege, which is to include a horse and cart, will then travel along Lumphinnans Road towards Foulford Road before arriving at Beath Cemetry on Old Perth Road.
Olivia’s family have warned there may be some local disruption due to the number of people expected to attend the service and pay tribute.
Police Scotland will be assisting with traffic management, with those joining the procession asked to place something pink in the back of their cars to help officers identify them.
