The A919 between Leuchars and Picketllum has reopened following a three-vehicle crash on Thursday.
Motorists reported disruption near St Michael’s in Fife for around an hour following the collision.
One casualty was treated by paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) at the scene.
Police Scotland confirmed there had been no serious injuries reported.
A spokeswoman said: “Around 11.55am on Thursday police received a report of a three-vehicle crash near to St Michaels Inn, St Andrews.”
‘No serious injuries’ in A919 crash
“SAS attended; however, there have been no reports of any serious injuries.
“The road reopened around 12.30pm.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted to reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the A919 near Leuchars.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and a heavy rescue unit to the scene.
“One casualty was handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
