Superheroes used their super powers to bring thousands of people to a Fife park.
Dunfermline Comic Con welcomed around 4,500 to the town’s Pittencrieff Park.
The second celebration of the weird and wonderful world of comic books and superheroes double the size of last year’s inaugural event.
Among the attractions was a replica Tardis, complete with David Tennant lookalike, and a Star Wars X-34 Land Speeder replica, shown for the first time in Scotland.
There was also a colourful parade through the park, and many visitors arrived dressed up their own favourite character.
Alby Grainger, of the Little Shop of Heroes which organised the event, said: “The feedback we’ve been getting is tremendous.
“We wanted to build on last year’s event and that’s meant a lot of work but we’re delighted with how the day has gone.”
Comic Con was supported by Dunfermline Delivers, the town’s business improvement district company.
Chris Foote, events manager, said, “It has again turned out to be a big success and we’re delighted to see so many people visiting from across the country.”
Last year’s 40 stalls more than doubled to 100, and guests included around 30 comic book artists and writers, some from as far afield as the USA.
