A person has been taken to hospital following a collision between a bus and a van on the outskirts of St Andrews on Wednesday.
The incident happened shortly before 10am on the A91, near the entrance to the Old Course Hotel.
The collision is understood to have involved the 99B Stagecoach service bus and a van,with the front end of the bus sustaining significant damage.
Police have confirmed that one person was transferred from the scene to hospital by ambulance, but only as a precautionary measure.
Delays have been reported on the route, which links St Andrews with Guardbridge, with recovery of the vehicles expected to take place shortly.
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “One of our vehicles operating on route 99B towards Dundee was involved in an incident with another vehicle just outside St Andrews.
“It is our understanding that a passenger has been taken to hospital with minor injuries and two others have also been treated at the scene.
“Our driver was uninjured.
“Safety is our highest priority and we have launched a full investigation into this incident.”
