A 26-year-old man has been taken to hospital after becoming trapped under a tree in Fife.
Emergency services were called to a rural area off the A909 near Stenhouse reservoir, which is a few miles outside Burntisland, at around 7.10pm.
The man had been cutting down trees with his father when one landed on him, pinning him by the legs.
By the time firefighters arrived the man’s father had used a chainsaw to cut part of the tree away to relieve pressure on his son’s lower body.
Firefighters administered first aid and used an all terrain vehicle to assist the ambulance service in taking him to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital for further treatment.
It is understood the injured man suffered bruising and grazing to his lower back.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Burntisland and the heavy rescue service from Alloa were involved in the rescue.
