Updates as heavy rain causes disruption across Tayside and Fife

Tayside and Fife has been hit with severe disruption to schools and transport after heavy rain on Friday.

Roads and railways have been affected by the deluge, with yellow and amber warnings in place across the region.

Several roads are impassable, while there is disruption on the rail network with lines blocked and many rivers and burns have burst their banks.

Hundreds of Angus pupils have had a day at home because of closures caused by flooded roads.
