A child was hit by a car outside a school in Kirkcaldy on Friday afternoon.
Police were called to the incident at Overton Road, outside St Andrew’s RC High School, at 3.35pm.
An ambulance was also called to the scene, with the road reopening around 4.45pm.
It is not known if anyone has been injured or if the child involved is a pupil at the school.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 3.35pm on Friday, police were called to the Overton Road area of Kirkcaldy, following a report of a crash involving a car and a child pedestrian.
“Emergency services remain in the area and inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
