Police in Fife have charged a man after thousands of pounds worth of drugs were recovered from a car in Methil.
The 36-year-old was found to have Class A and Class B drugs, including heroin and cannabis resin, totaling £4,200 when his vehicle was searched at Wellesley Road on Wednesday.
Constable Alex Black from the Community Investigation Unit said: “Following on from the recent pro-active successful drugs operations in the Levenmouth area further information from the public has resulted in us taking more drugs off the streets.
“Tackling drug crime is a top priority for Fife division and we continue to have a zero tolerance policy towards drug related offences.
“We will continue to deal with any offences reported to the police using every resource at our disposal.
“The public can assist greatly in helping police tackle drug related offences and I would urge anyone with information on offences of this nature in their area to come forward to police or contact the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
