A ward at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline has been closed to new admissions and visitors following a Covid-19 outbreak.
NHS Fife has confirmed only essential visiting is currently permitted at ward six, which is rehab unit for elderly patients, due to a cluster of Covid-19 cases.
Essential visiting includes where a patient is receiving end of life care, or to support someone with a mental health issue, learning disability, autism, or dementia.
A range of mitigation measures have also been put in place to reduce the opportunity for further spread of the Covid, including enhanced cleaning.
Limited visiting in other NHS Fife wards
Restricted visiting is in place at a number of wards across NHS Fife, including the Lomond ward at Stratheden hospital in Cupar.
The latest government figures show that between November 20 and 26, 148 people in Fife had a confirmed positive Covid-19 test result.
This was 5.7% less compared to the previous 7 days.
