Fire crews have rescued someone from a car after it crashed down an embankment in west Fife.
Emergency services were called to Cairneyhill roundabout just outside Dunfermline on Friday following reports of the crash.
The roof of a vehicle had to be cut off so a person could be safely removed.
Four ambulances were sent to the scene, with two people taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.
The extent of their injuries is not known.
Police Scotland say one woman had been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.
A force spokeswoman said: “Around 11.30am on Friday police received a report of a car leaving the road on the A985 at the junction to Cairneyhill roundabout.
“A 30-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.”
A fire service spokesperson said: “We received a call regarding an incident on the Cairneyhill roundabout.
“Three appliances from Dunfermline arrived at the scene to assist with the car that had gone down the embankment.
“We were able to cut the roof from the vehicle, removing one person who is now in the hands of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“We still have crew members in attendance clearing the vehicle and making the road safe.”
An ambulance service spokesperson said: “We received a call to attend an incident at Cairneyhill roundabout, Fife.
“Four ambulances were dispatched to the scene and two patients were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.”
