A woman has been taken to hospital and a man charged after a three-vehicle crash in Leuchars.
The A919 Station Road at St Bunyans Place was closed while emergency services respond to the incident.
Four fire crews, two ambulances and police were called to the scene around 8.30am on Tuesday.
Police Scotland confirmed a woman was taken to hospital, though the extent of her injuries is unknown.
A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with road traffic offences.
Stagecoach warned passengers of delays to services, and drivers in north-east Fife reported being diverted.
A passing motorist said: “There was quite a big emergency response to it.
“I saw four fire engines and two ambulances.

“The traffic wasn’t too bad. Police were turning the traffic back through Leuchars.
“There were certainly buses that were stopped and taken out of service which will have caused a bit of disruption for passengers.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Tuesday, officers were called to a report of a three-vehicle crash on St Bunyans Place, Leuchars.
“One woman has been taken to hospital.
“A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The road has reopened.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed four appliances had been sent to the scene.
