A woman sustained a suspected broken nose after being attacked by a gang of men in Kinghorn. Police are hunting the four attackers who pounced on the quiet High Street at around 4.55pm on Thursday, and they have appealed for the public’s help. It is understood the woman was assaulted as she tried to get into a car and a man tried to pull her back out. When the driver tried to help, three other men got involved and set on the pair. Officers said the two victims sustained minor injuries. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police in Fife are investigating after two people were assaulted in Kinghorn. “The incident happened around 4.55pm on Thursday April 27 on the High Street. “A man and woman sustained minor injuries after being attacked by four men while sitting within their vehicle. “Inquiries are ongoing to trace the suspects and anyone with information is asked to contact police.” The incident happened just three days after a man was robbed on a Cowdenbeath street by two men armed with a cattle prod. Scott Drummond, 48, was threatened and forced to hand over a three-figure sum of money and his phone.
