The incident happened around a mile off the coast and a man involved is said to be “feeling seasick”. RNLI and Coastguard crews were deployed at around 2pm and so far no serious injuries have been reported. An RNLI spokesman said: “Broughty Ferry RNLI was alerted at 1.54pm. “An 18 foot motor vessel was in distress. “The vessel tangled in lobster pot ropes approximately one mile off St. Andrews. “One person on board was feeling sea sick. “Broughty Ferry all-weather lifeboat Elizabeth of Glamis was launched at 2.08pm and is currently on route.”
