Preparations are under way in St Andrews for a major filming production taking place in the Fife town.
Filming for the TV series – thought to be the The Crown – is expected to start on Friday.
Crews were spotted at St Andrews harbour, near East Sands, on Thursday morning unloading equipment from several vehicles.
Numerous road closures are also in place across the town, including along The Scores and North Street.
The closures are expected to be in place between certain hours until March 17.
Speculation is mounting that the production is Netflix’s award winning drama The Crown.
In January, a casting call for extras was put out by Surrey-based agency Extra People Ltd looking for actors in St Andrews.
The advert called for extras for what it described as “one of the world’s biggest TV shows”.
However show bosses have yet to confirm if The Crown is filming in St Andrews.
The sixth series of the popular show is set to include a storyline exploring the romance of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The pair met in 2001 when they were both students at St Andrews University.
Filming for season six was due to begin in August but was delayed following the death of the Queen in September
Netflix, which produces the show, has been approached for comment.
