Fire crews descended on Dunfermline town centre on Saturday after a blaze broke out at a restaurant.
At one point six fire crews were at the scene at Ashiq’s on the town’s Bridge Street.
The alarm was raised shortly before midday after a fire was detected in the kitchen’s extractor fan.
Two crews from Dunfermline fire station were initially sent to the scene, however, as the blaze expanded additional crews were sent, with officers using four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to battle the flames.
While the fire was extinguished before 2pm, crews remained on the scene until 4.30pm as they dampened the building down.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
A notice on the restaurant’s Facebook page states that the premises will be closed for several weeks.
