Three people have been injured after a fire broke out at a fish and chip shop in Fife on Thursday morning.
Fire crews were called out to Ilario’s, which is near the corner of Elphinstone Street and High Street in Kincardine, shortly after 10am.
It is understood that one man has been taken to hospital as a result of the fire, while two others were treated at the scene by ambulance personnel and were released.
Four fire engines from Falkirk, Larbert and Alloa were in attendance, along with the height appliance.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus sets and two hose reel jets to tackle the incident.
It is not yet clear what caused the blaze, but officials said the fire was extinguished within two hours.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said initially there were “persons reported”, but everyone has been accounted for.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.07am today to attend an incident in Kincardine.
“We dispatched one ambulance, a manager and our special operations response team.
“The first unit arrived on scene within two minutes.
“Two patients were treated at the scene and one male patient was taken to Forth Valley Hospital.”
