A 17-year-old girl has been charged in connection with the theft of a defibrillator in Dunfermline.
Police said a report had been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal regarding the incident on June 26.
Sergeant Jimmy Adamson of Kirkcaldy police station, who is leading the investigation, said: “We’d like to thank members of the public for their assistance with this matter.”
Townspeople were shocked when the specialist heart defibrillator was taken from a secure cabinet outside the Co-op on Burntisland High Street at about 2.30am.
It had been installed by Burntisland First Aid Services Trust in May 2015 following a community fundraising drive.
