A woman was left shocked after a man exposed himself to her on a Fife beach.
The woman was on her own at East Sands, St Andrews, at 7am on Friday when the incident happened.
The man is described as around 30 to 40-years-old, 5’ 8” tall, of large build, with short dark hair and stubble. He was wearing a brown coloured anorak with a fur hood.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Mark Millar of Levenmouth CID said: “As part of our enquiries we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of the East Sands beach last Friday morning.
“The female who was subjected to the incident was understandably left shocked at the man’s conduct, however police are pursuing positive lines of enquiry at this time.”
He added: “Crimes of this nature are rare in Fife but we urge the public to be vigilant.”
