Fife is no stranger to being on the small or silver screen of late, and the region will once again be in sharp focus in the coming months.
BBC Antiques Road Trip presenter Anita Manning was in Kirkcaldy to learn more about one of the town’s most famous sons, Adam Smith, for an episode due to air early next year.
There is still huge interest in the Kirkcaldy-born economist, philosopher and author, who is widely regarded as a key figure during the Scottish Enlightenment era, and Anita was keen to find out more about his life and times as she stopped off in the Lang Toun.
Anita was spotted at Kirkcaldy Galleries being greeted by Gavin Grant, collections curator and resident authority on all things Adam Smith, before going inside to talk about Smith’s legacy in the town, his impact on modern economics and the museum’s collection of related works.
