The driver was travelling eastbound on the stretch between Halbeath and Crossgates when the accident occurred at around 8.30pm. The woman was extricated from her vehicle by the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, who had three appliances in attendance. No other vehicles were involved. The condition of the woman, who was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkaldy by paramedics, is — as yet — unknown.
