A huge fire which swept a derelict building in the middle of one of Fife’s largest industrial estates has been extinguished.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will jointly be investigating the cause of the blaze in the coming days.
Fire crews were called to the blaze in Ridge Way on Donibristle and Hillend Industrial Estate near Dalgety Bay at 6.37pm on Wednesday.
Plumes of smoke can be seen from miles around.
Four Scottish Fire and Rescue Service pumps and a height appliance are tackling the blaze, including crews from Dunfermline, Burntisland and Lochgelly.
Flames were seen shooting out the roof of the vacant building owned by Springfield Properties.
Local resident Andy Dickerson said: “It black smoke everywhere, it’s pretty noxious stuff.
“I’ve made sure all the vents and windows are shut.”

Andy Hunter, the regional coordinator of the Scottish Firefighters Charity and serving firefighter posted aerial footage of the fire, saying it was time the building was demolished.

Locals were being warned to keep windows and doors closed amid asbestos fears.
Police were asking those living closest to the blaze to stay indoors.
Traffic diversions were set up.
Shortly after 10pm the fire was extinguished, although traffic was still being diverted away.
The advice to stay indoors was also lifted as Police Scotland officers no longer consider the public to be at risk.
