A man has been charged with the murder of Colin Oliphant, who was found dying in a house in Kelty on Wednesday.
The 35-year-old is due to appear in Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday, following news of his arrest from Police Scotland on Saturday.
Mr Oliphant died at a house in Keltyhill Avenue having sustained serious injuries.
Paramedics were called to the scene at around 11am but were unable to save him.
A statement issued by Police Scotland said: “Police in Fife can confirm that a 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of Colin Oliphant in Kelty.
“Mr Oliphant sustained serious injuries before passing away at an address in Keltyhill Avenue around 11am on Wednesday, September 6.
“An inquiry was launched by Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team and a man was later arrested and charged.
“He will appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday, September 11.
“Officers would like to thank the public and media for their assistance throughout this investigation.”
The family of Mr Oliphant, who previously lived in Townhill, Dunfermline, described him as a “doting father and much loved by those who knew him”.
