A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Kelty last week. William Richardson, 34, made no plea when he appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. Mr Richardson, whose address was given only as Glasgow, was remanded in custody and is expected to return to court soon. His appearance follows the death of Colin Oliphant, 38, in a house in Kelty’s Keltyhill Avenue last Wednesday morning. Paramedics were unable to save the life of the 38-year-old chef who was described by his grieving family as a “doting” father. The former Queen Anne High School pupil was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the alarm was raised. Friends took to social media to pay tribute to the former Townhill man and “his big smile”.
