Police in Levenmouth have reassured members of the public following a report of suspicious incident in Leven town centre.
Officers were called to investigate a report about a man’s behaviour towards a young girl outside the Farmfoods store in Shorehead at 2.05pm on Wednesday October 18.
However, having spoken with members of the public and analysed CCTV footage, police have determined that no crime was committed at any time and the behaviour of the man was in no way concerning or dangerous.
Sergeant Paul Gillespie, from Levemouth Police Station, said: “We are grateful to everyone who assisted with this investigation and we have been able to very quickly determine that absolutely no offences were committed, nor was anyone trying to commit any offence.
“As always, if anyone ever has concerns for the wellbeing of a child then please contact us immediately so we can take the appropriate action.”
