The incident happened shortly before 11am on Thursday at Abbotshall Road, outside of the Beveridge Park. Police and ambulance crews were in attendance at the scene, with the road closed for around an hour. The cyclist was taken to hospital with what was understood to be minor injuries. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call to attend a road traffic collision on Abbotshall Road. “We dispatched one ambulance to the scene. “One male patient in his fifties was taken to the Victoria Hospital.”
