Police have once again warned owners of Asian gold to take extra precautions in securing their homes following a spate of housebreakings.
Two further crimes have been reported in Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes following earlier reports of thefts from homes across Fife.
During these latest incidents, both of which took place on Tuesday, large quantities of cash and Asian gold have been stolen and enquiries continue to trace those responsible.
In addition, a Mercedes E-Class was stolen during one of the raids on a home in Kirkcaldy’s Dean Park Court, with the second crime taking place at Eardley Court, Glenrothes.
Detective Inspector Paul Dick said: “Once again we have seen homes being broken into with the intention of stealing Asian gold from homeowners.
“I would appeal to anyone who has information about these crimes, saw anything suspicious in the area of these homes on Tuesday evening or knows the whereabouts of the stolen Mercedes to contact Police Scotland.
