Two people have been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after police carried out raids in Levenmouth.
On Tuesday November 21 officers working as part of Operation Prospect carried out a day of action, targetting two addresses in Kirke Park and Ivy Grove in Methil.
This followed information relating to the controlled drug Xanax, a minor tranquilliser.
It is not prescribed in the UK and is classified as an illegal Class C drug.
As a result a quantity of drugs were recovered.
Two men, aged 37 and 43, will now be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for drugs offences.
Sergeant Paul Gillespie said: “We want to make it abundantly clear that drug crime of any kind will not be tolerated in Fife and through Operation Prospect we are continually obtaining information from the public to identify those involved in the production and distribution of harmful substances and remove these individuals from our communities.
“Tackling drug offences is one of our top priorities in Fife and we robustly assess and progress any intelligence we receive to bring drug dealers to justice.”
Anyone who wants to report drug crime should contact police via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
