A woman was taken to hospital after yet another accident at a known blackspot on the A92 in north Glenrothes on Thursday night.
The three car accident happened near the Balfarg junction at around 8.50pm and involved a red Fiat 500, a red Ford Fiesta and another vehicle, the latter of which only suffered minor damage.
The female driver of the Fiat 500 had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters and she was taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
It is understood no-one else involved in the crash required hospital treatment.
The road was closed for around an hour as emergency services dealt with the incident, and reopened shortly after 10pm.
