Amazing aerial footage has emerged of the aftermath of the ferocious fire which swept through a Fife primary school on Friday afternoon.
Investigations into the fire at Cairneyhill Primary School are said to be continuing after the blaze broke out in the school’s infant section at around 1pm.
Thankfully no-one was injured, and up to 200 children and staff were safely evacuated to the nearby Cairneyhill Parish Church.
More than 30 firefighters were in attendance at the height of the blaze, which affected a large part of the school – and prompted the roof to collapse – by the time it was brought under control.
The school remains closed on Monday and Tuesday, and parents and carers expect to be told what the school’s immediate future holds early this week.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the report relating to the investigation into the exact cause of the fire was not yet available.
