Proud parents showed off their new arrivals as Fife welcomed its Christmas babies.
One of the first babies to be born at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy after midnight on Christmas Eve was a little boy to parents Stacey Macmillan and Jed Edgar, both 27, from Cowdenbeath.
The couple have yet to pick a name for their little bundle who was born four weeks early at 2.22am on Christmas Day, weighing 5lb 14oz.
Kirkcaldy mum Lorna Heggie, 29, gave birth to her second child, who she has named Jamie, at 5.15am
Little Jamie, who was born weighing 8lb 3oz, had been due to appear at New Year but made it into the world one week early in time for Christmas.
Also born at the Kirkcaldy maternity unit was Ayla, who was delivered at 35 weeks weighing 4lb 12oz.
Mum Anna Czerobska, 33, said Ayla’s dad Umit Ucar played a key role in his daughter’s delivery.
Anna, of Kirkcaldy, said Ayla was in such a rush to be born, Umit got there before the midwives did.
“She just came out so fast. He had to catch her,” she said.
