The incident, which involved a Vauxhall Corsa and a van, happened on the westbound carriageway at around 8pm. Police were called to the scene and blocked off the road for a short time, causing traffic to build up in the area. However, traffic was soon moving freely again in both directions. It is understood no-one was seriously injured.
