One of Fife’s busiest roads was brought to a standstill on Thursday afternoon following a three-car crash.
Emergency services sealed off part of the A915 Standing Stane Road between Kirkcaldy and Windygates following the collision, which involved a Renault Megane, Volkswagen Golf and Ford Fiesta.
At least three ambulances were scrambled to the scene, near the Wemyss junction, at around 1pm though it is understood that all of those involved avoided serious injury.
Major delays were reported as queues backed up towards Kirkcaldy, though these are thought to have eased approaching the evening rush hour.
Police confirmed that the road re-opened shortly before 3pm.
