Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses following a housebreaking and theft in Crosshill, near Lochgelly.
The incident happened between 1.20pm and 8.50pm on Saturday January 27 at an address in the Benarty Avenue area.
During this time entry has been forced to the property and a set of keys taken.
Those responsible have then stolen a silver Ford Transit van from outside the property with the registration number SM64 VWC.
The van contained a number of power tools and inquiries are ongoing to trace their whereabouts and those responsible.
Detective Constable Gillian McEwan, from Dunfermline CID, said: “I would ask anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area to get in touch.
“We know the van was travelling southbound on the M90 motorway at around 8.55pm and would ask anyone who has seen it since this time to contact officers.
“The theft of the van and its contents has caused considerable distress to the owner who has been left unable to work as a result.
“I would urge anyone with information that can help with our inquiries to contact us as soon as possible.”
Those with information can contact Dunfermline CID via 101, quoting incident number 1489 of January 28, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
