Four people have been arrested and charged following an armed robbery in Cowdenbeath.
The Beath Petrol Station, on the town’s High Street, was targeted at around 5am last Thursday, with a three-figure sum of cash stolen along with a quantity of cigarettes.
A major police investigation was launched with officers now confirming that three men – two aged 18 and a further aged 62 – have been charged along with a 17-year-old woman.
Detective Sergeant John Easton from Dunfermline CID said: “We recognise that this incident created shock and alarm within the local community and we carried out a thorough investigation, which was supported by vital information from the public.
“As a result of this information, four arrests have been made and I would like to thank all of those who came forward to assist with our inquiries.”
