Police have been in attendance at a property in St Monans for much of the day after the discovery of a man’s body.
Officers have been stationed at Gourlay Crescent after a report of concern for one of the occupants of a flat was made to police at around 7pm on Sunday evening.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said the death of the 49-year-old man was not being treated as suspicious, and confirmed that inquiries were ongoing.
The death is currently being treated as “unexplained” pending the results of any post-mortem examination.
No further details about the deceased person were divulged as the police investigation continues. A report is, however, expected to be sent to the procurator fiscal.
