North East Fife MP Stephen Gethins has praised Army wives at Leuchars Station for clearing snow from pavements at a sheltered housing complex in the village.
The women visited the Servite Court sheltered housing complex in Redcroft Place, Leuchars on Thursday – and on Friday their community efforts continued with a prescription run from Leuchars/Balmullo into Cupar.
They did this in a 4×4 in the morning and planned to head to Dundee afterwards.
Mr Gethins said: “Well done to all those at Leuchars Station and #LeucharsCoWorkingHub for getting out and about clearing snow from pavements and pathways at a sheltered housing complex in the village on Thursday.
“Their community effort continues with a prescription run on Friday.”
Army wife Sarah Stone told The Courier that if anyone in the area needs help during the cold spell then please get in touch.
Any nurses or other essential workers who need to get to work in Dundee but cannot do so because of the weather are welcome to call Sarah on 07779111176.
