Police hunting for missing St Andrews student Duncan Sim will return to the spot where he was last seen exactly a week ago.
Officers will speak to people near Madras Rugby Club, where the 19-year-old attended a social event on the night he vanished.
Duncan has been missing since he left the pavilion in Old Station Road at around 11pm on Wednesday, March 14.
Police want to jog potential witnesses’ memories and hope someone will have information which will help them piece together the first-year chemistry student’s movements.
Chief Inspector Steven Hamilton, local area commander for North East Fife, said: “Today marks a week since Duncan was last seen and we are continuing with our inquiries to trace him.
“Officers will tonight be stopping vehicles as they enter St Andrews on the A91 to speak with drivers who may have seen Duncan after he left the Madras Rugby Club on Old Station Road.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Duncan, or a man matching his description, after 11.15pm on Wednesday March 14 so that we can establish his movements after he left Madras Rugby Club.
“I would appeal again to anyone who can help with our investigations to contact us via 101 immediately, quoting incident number 2987 of March 15.”
Police also posted a photograph of Madras Rugby Club on social media, with an appeal for information from those who attended the same event as Duncan.
The post asked: “Were you here (Madras Rugby Club) or in the St Andrews area at this time last Wednesday? Did you see Duncan Sim?”
More than 100 officers are involved in the investigation and search, which has been aided by the army, coastguard and members of the public.
Duns Rugby Club bussed people to St Andrews at the weekend, while many others drove from Duncan’s home town of Duns, in the Scottish Borders, to help look for him.
Scottish Rugby has also helped in the appeal for information by tweeting to its 335,000 followers.

Duncan’s former school, Berwickshire High School, said it was “hugely saddened” by the disappearance of its former depute head boy.
It said: “Duncan was a highly valued member of our school community, attending Berwickshire HS from 2010 through till 2016.
“During his time at the school, he was a highly successful young man who brought credit to both himself and his family in his commitment to both his studies and his sport.
“He was our depute head boy in his final year at school and was an excellent representative for the school.
“It is our sincere hope that he will still be found and would ask that anyone who has information of his whereabouts contact the police immediately.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Sim family at this very difficult time on behalf of all who are associated with Berwickshire HS.”
The alarm was raised after Duncan failed to arrive back at his accommodation at St Andrews University’s Agnes Blackadder Hall.
He is described as being 6ft tall and of medium build.
He has brown hair and green eyes, and when he was last seen he was wearing a grey suit jacket, a white shirt and a blue and white tie.
