An elderly woman was taken to hospital after a fire in a Dalgety Bay house.
She was given first aid at the scene in Morlich Crescent by firefighters who led her to safety.
An ambulance later took the woman to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital.
The blaze in the kitchen of the house, understood to have started in a microwave, was reported shortly after 2am on Saturday.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters led the woman to safety from the property and administered oxygen therapy until the arrival of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“The casualty was taken to the Victoria Hospital, in Kirkcaldy.”
Three appliances from Dunfermline Fire Station attended.
