Police are hunting callous vandals who wreaked havoc in a west Fife cemetery.
They destroyed a memorial bench and drove across graves in the shocking incident in the remote Culross cemetery.
Sergeant Hazel Gibson, based at Dunfermline police station, said: “Vandalism in a cemetery is completely unacceptable and naturally causes distress to the community.”
Now police in Fife are appealing for witnesses following the incident which happened at some point between 8pm on Friday March 30 and 10.20am on Saturday March 31.
The sergeant is appealing for information from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious at the graveyard which lies near Blairhall.
She asked that anyone with information which could help police in tracing those responsible to call 101 quoting incident number 1311 of 31st March.
